Here I am going to recommend books and movies that you are going to like if you liked Three Men in a Boat.
Firstly, I would say that if you liked Three Men in a Boat, you should certainly read its sequel- Three Men on the Bummel. This novel is by Jerome K. Jerome and has quite similar elements to Three Men in a Boat. This novel is humorous and will make you laugh out loud, just like Three Men in a Boat did.
If you liked Three Men in a Boat, I assume that you admire the writing style of Jerome K. Jerome. So, I would recommend you another book by Jerome K. Jerome called Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow. This novel consists of many humorous essays by Jerome. If you do not like to read essays, but interesting stories with an interesting plot, this novel is not for you.
If you are interested in classic books with a hint of humour in them, I would recommend you the novel A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. The characters in this novel are quite similar to the ones in Three Men in a Boat. It is based on a man called J. Reilly- a fat, who considers himself an amazing intellect and superior to everyone else. This novel does not have a single plot but many stories connected together. This is a humorous and interesting novel and you should definitely try reading it.

For movies, I recommend you to watch the movie- Three Men in a Boat. I think that if you loved the novel, you will also enjoy seeing the characters come to live in the movie. This movie released in 1956.

My Dream Cast
Even though the movie makers of Three Men in a Boat did an amazing job with the casting, I will recast all characters again with people from Hollywood in today's time. Here is my selection-
J-
For J, I would cast Sean Bean. Sean Bean fits the physical description of J- with his dark blonde hair. He is British and so will be able to do a British accent. He is a bit old for playing J but I still think that he will be able to be a perfect J for the movie.
Harris-
For Harris, I would cast Matt Leblanc. Matt is best known for his role- Joey on the NBC sitcom, Friends. Matt's character- Joey eats a lot, like Harris. Matt fits the physical characteristics of Harris
perfectly too. Matt is American and so he does not have a British accent, that Harris has. However, I think that he will be able to learn how to do a British accent in some weeks. Matt is perfect for the role of Harris.
George-
For George, I would cast Christian Bale. He has an English accent which is needed for playing George. In the novel, not much physical description is given about George. Christian Bale reminds me of George. He has a serious look on his face and looks hard-working. He is known for playing Batman.
Matt LeBlanc- Harris Sean Bean- J Christian Bale- George
